Series 4000,5000 and 7000 Heavy Duty Sluice Gate
DESIGN FEATURES:
Rodney Hunt’s Series 4000, 5000, and 7000 Heavy Duty Sluice Gates are designed to meet or exceed AWWA specifications. They have been successfully used in a wide variety of applications, including municipal water works and treatment facilities, flood control projects, reservoirs and fish hatcheries.
They can be either fully self-contained or non-self-contained. These gates are typically made from Cast Iron, but can also be made from Ni-Resist. Seats, wedges, and fasteners can be made from 300-Series Stainless Steel, Naval Bronze, Manganese Bronze, Ni-Resist, or Low-Zinc Bronze.
P-32 Circular Opening Sluice Gate
DESIGN FEATURES:
Rodney Hunt’s P-32 is a heavy duty self-contained circular opening sluice gate designed to meet AWWA specifications. It is ideally suited for pipe end shut-off applications, such as pumping stations, effluent ponding installations, and distributing boxes. The P-32 is constructed of high strength, close-grained cast grey iron. Available in 6” to 14” inch opening diameter.
Seat faces and adjustable wedges are made from bronze. Stem is made from stainless steel, for non-rising (standard) or rising (optional) applications. All Assembly hardware is Stainless Steel. A Circular flangeback mounting, with the option of 25 lb. ANSI or 125 lb. ANSI drilling, is also available. Designed to accommodate the full range of lift types, and can be furnished with handwheel or an alternative lift as supplied with other sluice gates.
P-30ff Pressure Slide Gate
DESIGN FEATURES:
Rodney Hunt’s model P-30-FF is a circular opening, circular flange back Pressure Slide Gate. It is used in water control applications where a rugged but economical circular opening gate is required, such as small reservoirs, distributing boxes, ponding areas, and pumping stations where fluid and operating conditions are only moderately severe and continuous throttling action is not anticipated.
The gate is provided with bronze seat faces and stem, and stainless steel assembly hardware for Sluice Gate type applications in water treatment facilities. It is an economical gate, ideally suited for effluent ponding installations, pumping stations, and distributing boxes.
Stainless Steel 250 Series Slide Gate
DESIGN FEATURES:
Rodney Hunt’s SS-250 Series Slide Gates are designed to meet or exceed AWWA C-561.The SS-250 is used for its strength and longevity in corrosive atmospheres, due to its heavy duty design. These gates are made custom to specifications provided. The SS-250 is also available in aluminum as the A-250.SS-250-1 Series Slide Gates can be custom designed for 5, 10, 15 or 20 feet of head, heavy duty gates available up to 50 feet of head (some limitations apply to larger sizes.
Aluminum 250-1 Series Slide Gate

Rodney Hunt’s A-250 Series Slide Gates are used in canal, water, and wastewater applications. They are designed to meet or exceed the most current AWWA C-562 standard. The A-250-1 is used for its strength and longevity in corrosive atmospheres. These gates are made custom to specifications provided. These gates are also available in stainless steel as the SS-250-1.A-250-1 Series Slide Gates can be custom designed for 5, 10, 15 or 20 feet of head (some limitations apply to larger sizes). A-250-1 gates are available in normal aperture configurations or as weirs (downward opening). They may also be ordered as self-contained gates or with extension stems and separate operators.
Model SR Slide Gate (R Series)
DESIGN FEATURES:
Rodney Hunt R Series Slide Gates are custom fabricated following a standardized design to fit the exact requirements of most applications. The R Series Gates are manufactured from structural shapes and plates in a choice of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Gates have a minimum member thickness of 10 ga. and the plates are reinforced or thickness is increased to meet the desired head conditions. Structural angles and flats are welded into a rigid guide rail frame to allow easy removal of the slide should repair be necessary. The R Series is known for its longevity in non-corrosive atmospheres. Almost any custom size is available.
